Product Overview & Technical Data

Product Overview

casement window profile 65 mm is engineered for high-performance architectural fenestration and energy-efficient building facades. Our premium 65E high-efficiency thermal-break casement window aluminum profile features a 20 mm thermal-break strip and a matching 65E casement door series for glazed screens with doors in them.

At 65 mm the E series hits the depth most specifications settle on. The 20 mm thermal-break strip is the defining feature – wider than the 14.8 mm strip carried by the standard JP65 casement, so the frame U-value improves while the sight lines and the glazing capacity stay in familiar territory. It is the pragmatic middle of the range: better than standard on energy, without the metal cost of the 75 mm high-efficiency series.

The 65E is drawn together with a 65E casement door, and that pairing is the practical argument for the series. A glazed screen with an opening door in it can be detailed, fabricated and installed as one system, with one gasket schedule and one set of corner cleats, instead of stitching a door from one supplier into a window wall from another.

Common ancillary materials and shared coupling bars mean the series drops into an elevation that also uses 60E and 70E without a second hardware inventory – useful when a building has different thermal requirements on different elevations but has to look like one building.

FEATURE 01

Tell Us the Duty

The useful starting point is what the profile has to do: span, wind load, U-value target, opening type. From that we identify the series and say plainly where a cheaper option would be a false economy.

FEATURE 02

Tooling Where Needed

Bespoke sections are normal here rather than exceptional. Die design, simulation, machining and vacuum nitriding are all in-house, and you approve a sample extrusion before production is booked.

Send the drawings, the opening schedule or the performance target. Our engineers will confirm the series, the alloy, the finish and the delivered price — and tell you plainly if another series in the range fits your project better.

Dimensional and performance figures are taken from the manufacturing partner’s own product catalogue. Mill certificates, spectrometer analysis reports and coating thickness records are issued with each shipment.

What we can change for your project – and what we cannot

Material and Grade

Extrusion is to 6063-T5 for the standard architectural sections, 6005-T5 where a higher mechanical rating is called for in a structural member, and 6061-T6 for the heavily loaded components. Billet is drawn from major domestic producers and every heat is checked on a direct-reading spectrometer before it goes to the press, so the certificate that ships with the order reflects the metal in the box rather than a nominal grade.

Surface Finish

Seven finish routes run in-house: anodising, powder coating on a vertical spray line, fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating, electrophoretic lacquer, wood-grain heat transfer, thermal-break strip crimping and decorative finishes. Pre-treatment is chromium-free chemistry from an approved partner manufacturer, and the electrostatic powder is first-tier – supplied by an approved partner manufacturer – which is what makes a long colour warranty defensible rather than aspirational.

Custom Tooling

Tooling is made in-house, which is what makes bespoke sections practical rather than theoretical. Flow behaviour is checked by simulation before steel is cut, the die is then machined and hardened in a vacuum nitriding furnace, and a first sample length is produced for approval before the run starts. Customer drawings and physical samples are both accepted as the starting point.

Made-to-Order Sizing

Everything that can reasonably be varied is varied to order – cut length, wall thickness within the section’s design envelope, finish colour and bundle size. A length schedule supplied with the order is cut to as issued, so material arrives ready to fabricate.

Factory and Export Capability

The approved partner manufacturer holds its own import-export licence for aluminium and aluminium products, so shipments are made direct from the factory rather than through an agent. Design capacity at the partner manufacturing base is 50,000 tonnes a year, over 100,000 tonnes across the group including multiple partner manufacturing bases. Export packing is moisture-barrier wrapping, protective film, foam interleaving and timber crating; FOB, CIF and DDP terms are all quoted and container loading is supervised in-house.

Alloy, Temper, Finish

Billet chemistry is checked by spectrometer on every heat, the temper is confirmed to the drawing, and the finish is applied in-house over approved partner manufacturer chromium-free pre-treatment.

55 / 65 Thermal-Break Casement Door Series

55 and 65 thermal break casement door series in aluminium for entrance and balcony doors.

The full range sits under Door & Window Profiles, and the buildings and sites these products have gone into are listed under Domestic Engineering Projects. If none of them is quite your specification, say what is different in the enquiry – most of what we ship is made to a drawing rather than picked off a shelf.

Applications

01

Where this profile is specified

The configuration of Where this profile is specified is selected against the operating conditions, installation interfaces and destination-market requirements. Include the intended use and site constraints in the RFQ.

Quality Control & Inspection

Standard energy-code housing

The 20 mm break at 65 mm depth is the specification most residential energy codes are written around.

Glazed screens with doors

The matching 65E door series lets a screen and its door be built as one system.

Commercial and mixed-use

Reads as a commercial window while keeping to a residential metal budget.

Multi-elevation projects

Shares coupling bars with 60E and 70E, so different elevations can carry different depths.

Hotel and apartment fit-out

Enough glazing rebate for acoustic laminated IG units on street frontages.

Export project supply

The most widely accepted depth in the range, so it is normally the fastest to specify and approve.

Packing & Delivery

Shipping and Terms

Container loading is supervised by our own staff, packing is film, moisture barrier, foam interleaving and timber crating, and terms are FOB, CIF or DDP as you prefer.
