Product Overview & Technical Data

Product Overview

casement window profile 70 mm is engineered for high-performance architectural fenestration and energy-efficient building facades. Our premium 70E high-efficiency thermal-break casement window aluminum profile features a 20 mm thermal-break strip, representing the deepest option in the 20 mm E group, complete with a matching 70E casement door series.

The 70E sits at the top of the 20 mm-break group. The extra frame depth over the 60E and 65E buys two things at once: a larger glazing rebate, so heavier acoustic or triple insulating units can be carried, and a stiffer section, so sashes can be made larger before deflection becomes the governing limit. For a project with tall openings and a hard U-value target, this is usually the section that resolves both constraints without moving up to the 75 mm multi-cavity series.

Section stiffness is the part specifiers tend to underestimate. A window that meets its U-value on paper still fails a site air-permeability test if the sash bows under wind load and lifts the gasket off its seat. Choosing depth for structural reasons rather than thermal ones is often what makes the difference on tall glazing.

Thermal break 20 mm strip
Family matching 70E casement door series available
Temper and grade 6063-T5 for standard sections · 6005-T5 where load rating governs · 6061-T6 for the heaviest duty
Finish routes Anodised · powder-coated · PVDF fluorocarbon · electrophoretic · wood-grain transfer, all produced on site
Bespoke sections Die cut to your drawing or sample; existing dies modified where the geometry is close
Order-specific dimensions Cut length, wall thickness inside the design envelope, colour to approved sample, bundle quantity
Manufacturing and shipping 50,000 t/year partner manufacturing base, 100,000 t+ group-wide; direct export licence; supervised container loading

Dimensional and performance figures are taken from the manufacturing partner’s own product catalogue. Mill certificates, spectrometer analysis reports and coating thickness records are issued with each shipment.

Triple-glazed specifications

Rebate depth suits the triple IG units used in northern climates.

Exposed high-rise elevations

Section stiffness matters more than nominal U-value once wind loads get high.

Window and door screens

The matching 70E door series completes glazed screens without a second supplier.

Public and institutional buildings

Handles large repetitive openings in schools, offices and civic buildings.

What we can change for your project – and what we cannot

Material and Grade

The alloys used are 6063-T5, 6005-T5 and 6061-T6. 6063-T5 covers the general architectural sections where surface quality matters most; 6005-T5 is specified when a section has to carry more load without growing in depth; 6061-T6 is reserved for the highest-stress parts. Ageing runs in nine-frame gas-fired double-door ovens with the temper confirmed by hardness check, and billet chemistry is verified by spectrometer on every heat.

Surface Finish

Finishing is not subcontracted. Anodising, powder coating, fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating, electrophoretic lacquer and wood-grain heat transfer are all in-house processes on the same site as the presses, using chromium-free pre-treatment and first-tier electrostatic powder. Keeping extrusion and coating under one roof is what keeps colour consistent across a batch that ships over several months.

Custom Tooling

Dies are designed and cut in-house, with simulation analysis before steel is committed and vacuum nitriding afterwards. That means a bespoke section can be opened to a customer’s drawing, and an existing die can be modified where a project needs a variant rather than a whole new section – usually the faster and cheaper of the two routes.

Made-to-Order Sizing

Made to order means made to your figures – cut length, wall thickness inside the section’s design envelope, finish colour and bundle quantity. Supplying the cutting list with the order costs nothing and saves both the offcut waste and the saw time at the other end.

Factory and Export Capability

Export goes direct. The approved partner manufacturer holds its own import-export licence for aluminium products and supervises its own container loading, whether the order fills a container or consolidates with others. Capacity is 50,000 tonnes a year at the partner manufacturing base and more than 100,000 tonnes group-wide. Packing is protective film, moisture barrier, foam interleaving and timber crates; terms are FOB, CIF or DDP.

Production and Finishing

Extrusion in the confirmed alloy and temper, then anodising, powder coating, PVDF, electrophoresis or wood-grain transfer to the approved colour sample.

The full range sits under Door & Window Profiles, and the buildings and sites these products have gone into are listed under Domestic Engineering Projects. If none of them is quite your specification, say what is different in the enquiry – most of what we ship is made to a drawing rather than picked off a shelf.

Applications

01

Where this profile is specified

The configuration of Where this profile is specified is selected against the operating conditions, installation interfaces and destination-market requirements. Include the intended use and site constraints in the RFQ.

02

Tall residential openings

The deeper section keeps sash deflection inside limits where 60E or 65E would be at the edge of their span.

03

Acoustic glazing

A larger glazing rebate accommodates the thick laminated units that high acoustic ratings require.

Quality Control & Inspection

Inspection for 70E High-Efficiency Casement Window (20 mm break) can cover the approved specification, appearance, dimensions and agreed performance checks. Factory or third-party inspection criteria must be confirmed before the order.

Packing & Delivery

Enquiry and Drawing

Send the section drawing, a sample, or the opening schedule and performance target. Our engineers confirm which series fits and say so plainly if a different one fits better.

Tooling and Sample

Where a bespoke section is needed the die is designed with simulation analysis, cut and nitrided in house, and a sample length is produced for approval.

Export Packing and Shipping

Protective film, moisture barrier, foam interleaving and timber crating, on FOB / CIF / DDP terms with container loading supervised in house.
