Product Overview & Technical Data
Product Overview
pv module aluminium frame 30 mm standards require 30 mm anodised aluminium construction for crystalline photovoltaic modules, extruded in 6005A-T5 with corner-key ends, drainage, and earthing provisions.
A 30 mm frame is the low-profile option and it is chosen for weight and cost on modules where the mechanical load case allows it. The frame does three jobs that are easy to overlook: it carries the module’s mechanical load test – snow on the front, uplift on the back – through the laminate to four clamping points; it drains water off the glass so the lower rail does not hold a standing pool that freezes; and it provides the earthing path that the module’s safety certification depends on. Get the drainage slot geometry wrong and the module falls in the field for reasons that have nothing to do with the cells.
The alloy is 6005A-T5 rather than 6063-T5, and that is a deliberate choice. A 30 mm frame has little section depth to work with, so the stiffness has to come from the metal rather than from the geometry – 6005-T5 carries a higher mechanical rating than 6063-T5 in the same envelope. Where a design calls for the general architectural grade, 6063-T5 is available, and 6061-T6 for the highest-duty components.

Tell Us the Duty
The useful starting point is what the profile has to do: span, wind load, U-value target, opening type. From that we identify the series and say plainly where a cheaper option would be a false economy.
Tooling Where Needed
Bespoke sections are normal here rather than exceptional. Die design, simulation, machining and vacuum nitriding are all in-house, and you approve a sample extrusion before production is booked.
Send the drawings, the opening schedule or the performance target. Our engineers will confirm the series, the alloy, the finish and the delivered price — and tell you plainly if another series in the range fits your project better.

Dimensional and performance figures are taken from the manufacturing partner’s own product catalogue. Mill certificates, spectrometer analysis reports and coating thickness records are issued with each shipment.
What we can change for your project – and what we cannot
Material and Grade
The alloys used are 6063-T5, 6005-T5 and 6061-T6. 6063-T5 covers the general architectural sections where surface quality matters most; 6005-T5 is specified when a section has to carry more load without growing in depth; 6061-T6 is reserved for the highest-stress parts. Ageing runs in nine-frame gas-fired double-door ovens with the temper confirmed by hardness check, and billet chemistry is verified by spectrometer on every heat.
Surface Finish
Finishing is not subcontracted. Anodising, powder coating, fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating, electrophoretic lacquer and wood-grain heat transfer are all in-house processes on the same site as the presses, using chromium-free pre-treatment and first-tier electrostatic powder. Keeping extrusion and coating under one roof is what keeps colour consistent across a batch that ships over several months.
Custom Tooling
A section that does not exist yet is a normal request here. Die design, simulation analysis, die cutting and vacuum nitriding are all done on site, so a drawing or a physical sample can be turned into a production die without going outside the factory. Where the requirement is a variant of something already in the 5,000-item range, modifying the existing die is faster and costs less than cutting new steel – and we will say which route applies before you commit.
Made-to-Order Sizing
Nothing here is sold from a fixed stock list. Cut length follows the schedule you issue, wall thickness is set anywhere within the envelope the section was designed for, finish colour is matched to an approved sample, and the bundle is made up to whatever suits handling at the far end. Cutting to schedule rather than to a stock bar is what removes offcut waste from the fabrication floor.
Factory and Export Capability
Shipment is arranged from the selected partner manufacturer; the manufacturing entity and export eligibility are confirmed for each order. Factory capability and production capacity are verified against the selected manufacturer’s current documents before order confirmation. Profiles are filmed, moisture-wrapped, foam-interleaved and timber-crated, and containers are loaded under our own supervision on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
Alloy, Temper, Finish
Billet chemistry is checked by spectrometer on every heat, the temper is confirmed to the drawing, and the finish is applied in-house over approved partner manufacturer chromium-free pre-treatment.
Applications
Module repair and re-framing
Matching an existing frame section from a sample where original tooling is unavailable.
Where this profile is specified
The configuration of Where this profile is specified is selected against the operating conditions, installation interfaces and destination-market requirements. Include the intended use and site constraints in the RFQ.
Crystalline module framing
Standard four-side frame for mono and poly PERC modules where the mechanical load case permits 30 mm.
Rooftop residential modules
Lower frame height saves weight per module on light roof structures.
Cost-sensitive module lines
The lowest metal weight per module in the frame range.
OEM module manufacture
Frames extruded to the module maker’s own drawing on a dedicated die.
Anodised marine and coastal duty
Anodising gives the oxide layer thickness these environments need.
