Product Overview & Technical Data

Product Overview

35 mm anodised aluminium frame in 6005A-T5 for bifacial photovoltaic modules, where the rear face has to stay optically clear and the frame must not shade the back of the cells.

Bifacial modules change what a frame has to do. On a monofacial module the rear is opaque and the frame return on the back face is structurally free. On a bifacial module that same return shades the rear cells, and the shading is not proportional – a shaded cell in a string pulls the whole string down. So a bifacial frame is a compromise between section stiffness, which wants depth and a generous return, and rear-face clearance, which wants neither. The 35 mm height is a common resolution: enough depth for the mechanical load case on a large-format bifacial laminate, without the return a deeper frame needs.

Bifacial modules are also physically bigger and heavier than the generation before them, which pushes the frame from a load-transfer component into a structural one. 6005A-T5 is the grade used here for that reason – it carries a higher mechanical rating than 6063-T5 in the same envelope. 6063-T5 remains available for standard architectural sections and 6061-T6 for the highest-duty parts.

Because bifacial arrays are usually installed on trackers or on elevated ground-mount racking, the clamping zone on the frame has to match the mounting system as well as the module. That is a project-specific dimension, which is why this is a die-opening product rather than a stock section: send the module drawing and the mounting detail and the die is cut to them.

Send the drawings, the opening schedule or the performance target. Our engineers will confirm the series, the alloy, the finish and the delivered price — and tell you plainly if another series in the range fits your project better.

Technical Data & Specification Review

Published parameters are reference configurations for this series. Final values are subject to approved drawings, manufacturer technical documents, samples and project inspection records.

Alloy selection 6063-T5, 6005-T5 and 6061-T6, chosen against the duty of the individual section
Surface treatment Anodising, powder coating, PVDF, electrophoresis and wood-grain transfer; industrial-grade powder, chromium-free pre-treatment
Tooling In-house die design, simulation analysis, machining and vacuum nitriding; sample length before the production run
Sizing to order Length schedule, wall thickness within envelope, signed-off colour, packing unit
Factory capability 100-mu site, 40,000 m² of building, 375 staff, three laboratories; direct export on FOB / CIF / DDP

Dimensional and performance figures are taken from the manufacturing partner’s own product catalogue. Mill certificates, spectrometer analysis reports and coating thickness records are issued with each shipment.

What we can change for your project – and what we cannot

Material and Grade

Standard grades are 6063-T5, 6005-T5 and 6061-T6, selected against the duty of the individual section rather than applied uniformly across a system. Aluminium billet comes from large domestic producers and a direct-reading spectrometer result is recorded against each heat – one of three in-house laboratories, alongside chemical analysis and physical-mechanical testing.

Surface Finish

Surface treatment options are anodising, powder coating, fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating, electrophoretic lacquer and wood-grain heat transfer, the last of these running on a dedicated transfer line with a single-length vacuum oven. Pre-treatment chemistry is supplied by an approved partner manufacturer; powder is supplied by an approved partner manufacturer and equivalent first-tier brands. RAL and bespoke colours are both matched to a signed-off sample.

Custom Tooling

Die opening is supported end to end: profile drawing review, simulation analysis, die manufacture and vacuum nitriding are all in-house capabilities. Send a section drawing or a sample and a die can be cut for it; where the requirement is close to an existing section, modifying the existing die is normally quicker and lowers the tooling charge.

Made-to-Order Sizing

Dimensions are confirmed per order rather than assumed: the length schedule, the wall thickness within the section’s design envelope, the colour against a signed sample, and the packing unit. Where a fabricator supplies a cutting list, the profiles arrive cut to it and ready to machine.

Factory and Export Capability

Export is direct: the approved partner manufacturer carries its own licence for aluminium and aluminium products and loads its own containers under supervision, full-container or consolidated. Capacity behind that is 50,000 tonnes a year at the 100-mu partner manufacturing base and more than 100,000 tonnes across the group. Profiles ship with protective film, moisture-barrier wrapping, foam interleaving and timber crates, on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.

Production and Finishing

Extrusion in the confirmed alloy and temper, then anodising, powder coating, PVDF, electrophoresis or wood-grain transfer to the approved colour sample.

Applications

OEM bifacial module lines

Dedicated die per module format, with existing dies modified where geometry is close.

01

Where this profile is specified

The configuration of Where this profile is specified is selected against the operating conditions, installation interfaces and destination-market requirements. Include the intended use and site constraints in the RFQ.

02

Bifacial module framing

Frame geometry that keeps the rear cell area clear of avoidable shading.

03

Large-format utility modules

The additional 5 mm of depth over a 30 mm frame carries the bigger laminates.

04

Tracker-mounted arrays

Clamping zone dimensioned to the tracker rail rather than to a generic clamp.

05

Elevated ground-mount

Bifacial gain depends on rear irradiance, which the frame must not obstruct.

06

High-albedo sites

Snow, sand and light-coloured ground make rear-face clearance worth more.

Quality Control & Inspection

Registration numbers and certifying body in full, checkable at cnca.gov.cn. The GB/T 5237 inspection reports cover extruded aluminium building profile and are not cited here, because they do not describe this product.

Packing & Delivery

Enquiry and Drawing

Send the section drawing, a sample, or the opening schedule and performance target. Our engineers confirm which series fits and say so plainly if a different one fits better.

Tooling and Sample

Where a bespoke section is needed the die is designed with simulation analysis, cut and nitrided in house, and a sample length is produced for approval.

Export Packing and Shipping

Protective film, moisture barrier, foam interleaving and timber crating, on FOB / CIF / DDP terms with container loading supervised in house.
