Product Overview & Technical Data
Product Overview
solar tracker aluminium torque arm standards require extruded 6082-T6 alloy construction forming the critical connection between the torque tube and module purlins for single-axis photovoltaic systems.
The torque arm is the most highly stressed aluminium component in a tracker. It transfers the wind moment on the whole module table into the torque tube, and it does so in reversing cycles – a tracker at a stowed angle in gusting wind loads the arm one way and then the other, thousands of times over the plant’s life. That is a fatigue duty, not just a strength duty, and it is the reason this solar tracker aluminium torque arm is specified in 6082-T6 rather than in one of the 6005 or 6063 grades used elsewhere in the array.
The failure mode that matters is not fracture. It is loss of stiffness in the connection, which lets the module table twist relative to the torque tube. Once twist develops, the tracker’s angle is no longer the angle the controller thinks it is, tracking accuracy degrades and yield falls without any visible defect. Torsional stiffness across the arm-to-tube joint, and the bolt-hole geometry that maintains it, are therefore the controlling design criteria.

Drawing or Sample In
Send a section drawing, a physical sample, or simply the opening schedule and the performance you need to hit. Our engineers come back with the series that fits – including when that is a different series from the one you asked about.
Die and First Article
If no existing die suits, a new one is designed with metal-flow simulation, machined and vacuum-nitrided on site, and a sample length is extruded for your approval before the run is scheduled.
Send the drawings, the opening schedule or the performance target. Our engineers will confirm the series, the alloy, the finish and the delivered price — and tell you plainly if another series in the range fits your project better.

Dimensional and performance figures are taken from the manufacturing partner’s own product catalogue. Mill certificates, spectrometer analysis reports and coating thickness records are issued with each shipment.
What we can change for your project – and what we cannot
Material and Grade
Sections are extruded in 6063-T5, 6005-T5 or 6061-T6 depending on the load path – the lighter architectural members in 6063-T5, load-carrying members in 6005-T5, and the highest-stress components in 6061-T6. Billet is sourced from major domestic smelters with per-heat spectrometer verification, and ageing is controlled in gas-fired double-door ovens.
Surface Finish
Anodising, powder coating, fluorocarbon (PVDF) coating, electrophoretic lacquer and wood-grain heat transfer are all available, all in-house, all ahead of a chromium-free pre-treatment stage. Because extrusion, crimping and coating happen on one site, a mixed-finish order for a single project stays on one production schedule instead of being split across subcontractors.
Custom Tooling
A section that does not exist yet is a normal request here. Die design, simulation analysis, die cutting and vacuum nitriding are all done on site, so a drawing or a physical sample can be turned into a production die without going outside the factory. Where the requirement is a variant of something already in the 5,000-item range, modifying the existing die is faster and costs less than cutting new steel – and we will say which route applies before you commit.
Made-to-Order Sizing
Made to order means made to your figures – cut length, wall thickness inside the section’s design envelope, finish colour and bundle quantity. Supplying the cutting list with the order costs nothing and saves both the offcut waste and the saw time at the other end.
Factory and Export Capability
Export is direct: the approved partner manufacturer carries its own licence for aluminium and aluminium products and loads its own containers under supervision, full-container or consolidated. Capacity behind that is 50,000 tonnes a year at the 100-mu partner manufacturing base and more than 100,000 tonnes across the group. Profiles ship with protective film, moisture-barrier wrapping, foam interleaving and timber crates, on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
Extrude, Then Finish
The confirmed alloy and temper go through the press, then through whichever finish was agreed – anodising, powder, PVDF, electrophoresis or wood-grain transfer – matched to the approved colour panel.
Packed for the Voyage
Protective film, moisture-barrier wrap, foam between profiles and timber crates, loaded into the container under our own supervision, on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
