We import manganese ore for Chinese steel and alloy producers. The main grades we buy are Mn 40%+ (bulk lump and fines), with Fe, SiO2, and P within standard limits.
Main origins include South Africa (44-48% Mn), Gabon (48%+ Mn), Australia (44%+ Mn), and Ghana. We purchase on CIF China main port basis, one vessel at a time or quarterly term contracts.
Chinese steel mills use manganese as a deoxidizer and alloying element in steel production. Demand is steady year-round.
